It looks like the snow has stopped, but it could take a while before things are back to normal.

While most highways in the Drumheller area are in fair shape, that is not the case around Calgary, where parts of the TransCanada and Queen Elizabeth II Highways were shut down for a time last night because of treacherous conditions.

One man was killed in a two vehicle collision on Highway 567 east of Airdrie, while a 2nd fatality was reported near Didsbury. Highway 2 was closed overnight between Crossfield and Bowden because of multiple collisions.

The TransCanada is closed in both directions west of Calgary.

Closer to home, Highway 21 is snow covered north of Highway 9. The road is also snow covered and slippery south and west of Beiseker.
