The weather may not be too bad so far in the Drumheller area, but we are still under a storm warning.
A heavy band of snow has developed from near Didsbury to north of Claresholm. This band has produced 8.5 cm of snow in the Sundre region thus far. Snowfall totals of 10 cm are expected to fall in much of the area and near-zero visibilities are expected at times.
This band of heavy snow will continue to track southward and impact areas along the Alberta foothills. The snow is expected to taper off early this afternoon.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Highways in the Drumheller region are still bare and dry, but snow has fallen to the north and west and roads around Stettler and in the Calgary area are slick with new snow. Caution is advised.
