RCMP are asking for public assistance after a suspected case of road rage in the Beiseker area.

On May 28 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. two men in a white GMC pick-up were chased and rammed repeatedly by three men in a red Chevrolet pick-up.

"If anybody out there knows of somebody driving a red truck that's now damaged and has front end damage, please come forward and let us know who that is," pleaded Sgt. Jack Poitras of the RCMP K Division in Edmonton.

"It was in the back roads: I don't have the exact location, but they ended up driving to Airdrie," he elaborated. "They kind of got chased and rammed for a while, so I don't know if we've been able to establish the actual point of (first) contact."

Towards the end of the chase, someone in the red truck fired shots at the white truck, hitting and seriously injuring one of the people inside. The chase was apparently called off as the vehicles approached Airdrie, where the victims went straight to the RCMP.

"There was a blue Ford F150 near Township Road 270 and Range Road 253 that may have seen something," added Poitras. "We don't know who was in that (blue) vehicle, but if that rings a bell to anyone, call (us) and provide some detail as to what you've seen."

The officer in charge of the investigation is Constable Riley Dykslag from the RCMP General Investigation Section at 403-420-4966. You can also call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
