On Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Royal Canadian Legion, dozens of people gathered in the restaurant to participate in the organization's first pub quiz.

Deb Bolduc is the 1st Vice President of the Royal Canadian Legion #22. She organized the event and acted as Quizmaster -- the only role she was able to play in the event since she had already seen all the questions and answers.

"We're having a pub quiz! We have four rounds of ten questions each, not too hard. This is just general trivia."

Bolduc said British soap opera Coronation Street is what inspired her to hold the event.

"A lot of larger cities will have pub quizzes centered around Coronation Street."

She reiterated that Saturday afternoon's pub quiz was not a Coronation Street trivia event. She explained that she simply wanted to get something different going in Drumheller.

"We're hoping to get something for older people to come in and do on a Saturday afternoon. This is more for my generation."

People of all ages attended the pub quiz. The questions proved to be not too hard, but not too easy either, with no group getting a perfect score. No word yet on whether Bolduc plans to hold another pub quiz in the future.
