What do you think of the state of health care in Drumheller? A local physician wants to know.

Dr. Rithesh Ram of the Drumheller Associated Physicians has commissioned a survey to see what residents of the area have to say.Rithesh RamDr. Rithesh Ram. Photo submitted.

"I have patients that have told me they have concerns about how they've seen health care done in Drumheller for multiple, various reasons and I wanted to see if that was actually true," he explained.

"If it's been going on for that long, eventually you can't just assume that it's the same people that keep that conversation going," allowed Dr. Ram. "There's got to be at least something in there that might have a semblance of truth."

Dr. Ram has hired a company called Abacus Data to run an online questionnaire that he hopes will help him to identify any health care needs in the valley.

"It's obviously hard not to be biased by things that I've heard already because that was the impetus for me going forward, but I'm really going to try to wait and see what the results are," he concluded.

Dr. Ram isn't sure when the online survey will end; he's leaving that up to the survey company.
