Two people are dead after a collision between an SUV and a minivan southwest of Drumheller.
Just after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, five EMS units from Strathmore and Drumheller were called to the intersection of Highways 840 and 564 about three kilometres north of Standard.
RCMP determined that a minivan with seven people travelling east on Highway 564 ran the stop sign and T-boned a southbound sport utility vehicle.
Both people in the SUV were killed. The seven people in the minivan suffered various injuries, although only two were considered to be potentially in life threatening condition.
One person was airlifted by STARS to Calgary, while five others were taken there by ground ambulance. The last victim was hospitalized in Strathmore.
