A local initiative that started in 2015 is back for a second year to make sure no child in the Drumheller area goes without a toy this Christmas.

Tiffany Andrew is with Westergard Ford in Drumheller, which is running Toys for Tots again.

"Last year was wildly successful: we ended up delivering a couple truck loads of toys over to the Salvation Army," she told 99.5 Drum FM. "I called them up again this year and they agreed that it was good, so we're running it until the 10th of December."

Drop by the dealership on Highway 9 South anytime during business hours and drop off new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls of all ages.

"We are going to have Santa Claus come down; all parents can bring their kids down and take photos with Santa (on the 10th)," outlined Andrew. "We're also going to have horse drawn wagon rides around town and a few other surprizes."

Andrew said you'll just have to stop by Westergard on December 10 to find out what those surprizes are.

"One thing I can remember from last year is a little girl came up to me, she was about four years old, she came up and said 'you know why I came in today? Because I want to make sure every little kid has a present underneath the tree on Christmas Day."
