Taking off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) held their annual Provincial Recognition Days in Drumheller this weekend.
Over 625 members from across Alberta arrived in Drumheller for the annual get together at Badlands Community Facility.
"TOPS is all about real people and real weight loss. We support our members all throughout Canada and throughout the United States on weight loss journeys," explained conference chair Jennifer Eriksson.
This is the first time the organization has held their Recognition Days in Drumheller. Events got underway Friday night and continued through to Saturday, featuring guest speakers and the KOPS (keep off pounds sensibly) graduation. The day ended with a closing ceremony.
"TOPS is all about that support network that people need when they're looking to lose weight and just have a healthier lifestyle," said Eriksson. "There are some really incredible stories. Our Queen lost 86 pounds to her goal (and) we've had members who've lost over 100 pounds and have been able to keep it off for four years."
TOPS has two chapters in Drumheller for those are trying to lose weight.  Eriksson encourages people to visit their website or stop in at one of the chapters Monday morning or Wednesday evening.
