It looks like the Drumheller Valley is growing bigger in the medical community.
Dr. Rithesh Ram is one step closer to opening up his very own clinic.
"So this one is going to be called Riverside Medical (and) it's going to be on the third floor of Riverside Centre. I think it's going to be a good breath of fresh air. We obviously have a ton of work we need to do in the next short term and I'm very thankful to have an amazing team that's putting this together for us," Dr. Ram explained.
Dr. Ram mentioned that a few new recruits will be joining his journey in the new clinic, Riverside Medical.
"Our idea is to stay in the valley forever. The current owner and tenants gave us a fabulous opportunity, they gave us the 10 years to start, but like I said we're here forever," stated Dr. Ram.
"The support that we've gotten across the community is amazing and that's the reason we moved here in the first place. We saw the opportunity to help and make things better and that's where the survey came from."
Dr. Ram expressed that the most important thing him and his staff is to make sure that patient care is no way disrupted during the transition.
"We need to coordinate as we transition over and there's very specific ways that is done because patient care is the number one thing regardless of what is going on."
