Some people just can't respect the meaning of history.

Earlier today, The Little Church at the intersection of North Dinosaur Trail and Murray Hill Road was reported to be vandalized.

"One of the windows at the Little Church was smashed," explained Heather Bitz, the Executive Director of the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce. "It looks like with a rock of some kind that was laying there."

Bitz informed that the windows are made from tempered glass layered with a colored plastic coating which was the only material that remained after the vandalism occurred.

"We were out there to address the issue because there was quite a bit of broken glass out there," she commented. "We will have it replaced early next, as early as we can get it done."

This isn't the first time the historic Little Church has been vandalized and needed to be repaired.

"It's been three years since we had the (Drumheller) Institution put the work into refurbishing it and making it look new again," she concluded. "It always very unfortunate when vandalism like this occurs."

If anyone can volunteer any information that could help in the solving of this crime, you are asked to call the Drumheller RCMP at 403-823-2630.
