Back in October, Prairie Land Regional Division ran a project to promote inclusivity in their schools.

There were many different groups that did many different projects.  Four groups made the finals on October 23 and the winning group was from Morrin and Delia.

Their project was called Bocce Ball for All and was organized by Alia Nielsen from Delia, Serena Michie and Jack Adams from Morrin.

The prize for winning was a two week trip to a school in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emerates or a scholarship for the value of the trip.

Alia and Serena took the trip and Jack took the scholarship.  The young ladies returned from their trip on Sunday and had an exciting and interesting time.

"We had a different sort of relationship with the kids in school (in Abu Dhabi).  We got to sit in on some of the classes and experience what everyday life for those kids is like,"  remarked Serena Michie.

It was a great project to learn from and all three took something away from the experience.

"Probably watching everyone come together and have fun in an inclusive way," Alia Nielsen exclaimed.  "After we had our project, we had other students emailing their teachers and principals wanting to make more impact, so seing that domino effect was really neat."

"The affect that we gave on people and just to see it grow and continue in our division" was what Jack Adams took away from the project.

The group was more impressed by the results of the project than the prize.
