Travel Drumheller is going through a few different makeovers, as we seen with the 2017 Exploration Guide, but we're talking about the website.
"We're working on re-launching traveldrumheller.com and that should be up and live in April, so we'll be able to tell everyone when that happens. Our goal is to create a socially integrated mobile friendly site because 80 to 90 per cent of tourists book and are looking for experiences on their mobile devices," stated Alyssa Berry, Executive Director for Travel Drumheller.
"It's really important that you have a very effective, quick and efficient mobile site. That's the goal, that our sites going to be very image focused, very user friendly and easy to update."
Berry expressed from what she's seen in the wire frames, the website looks fantastic so far.
"I think people are really going to be excited and again it gets back to that elevated professional look of what people are seeing before they get here."
During Travel Drumheller's networking session on Tuesday, March 14, Berry and her team explained that the focus for marketing will be mostly digital.
"Obviously with the new site and the direction of the world now, digital is kind of the landscape you need to live in. We're directing our marketing focus to the digital landscape and that includes everything from Facebook ads, boosted posts and generated content off Instagram and things like that. This is all out of market because Travel Drumheller's job is to promote outside of Drumheller, so this is actually promoting in communities and regions in Southern Saskatchewan, Edmonton or British Columbia," she noted.
