Has your dream always been about becoming a member of the RCMP?

The RCMP will be hosting a career presentation tomorrow, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Badlands Community Facility.

If you are interested in this career presentation, you must register for the event.

"I believe that there are still spots available and I think it's open to anyone who wants to attend, they just have to register before coming. This is recruiting out of Airdrie, so as many people as they can squeeze in they will get them in," stated Corporal Trent Sperlie with the Drumheller RCMP Detachment. "We're looking at filling 1,000 positions per year for the next few years, so we're taking a lot of people in."

This presentation is more of an information seminar so those interested can securely figure out what it takes to become a member.

"Even if they're thinking of law enforcement careers and they're not sure what agency they want to go to, this would be a great information session for them to come to just so they can see what the RCMP is all about," Sperlie added.

One of the biggest things that most need to realize is that with the RCMP, you could be positioned anywhere across Canada.

"That's one of the big things with the RCMP, well one of the guaranteed things, you're definitely going to move. Some of the moves are good and some are not as good, but it's part of the total package and the adventure," explained Sperlie.
