An overall success for the Alberta Treasury Branch's Teddy for a Toonie fundraiser.
"It was really good. We managed to raise about $2,800 and that's just a soft tally," stated Lychelle Raymond from the Drumheller branch.
This year marked the 18th year.
The fundraiser included a silent auction, Mother's Day draw, White Elephant Sale and beef on a bun, all aside from the Teddy Bears.
"We sold quite a few this year. We have just about half a box left, so we've already done a box and a half," Raymond explained.
So, where does all the money raised go?
"It goes to the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary and then through all of Alberta through the ATB's we donate the money to the Alberta Children's Hospital and then the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton. Depending on where the branch is located, it goes to that hospital," Raymond concluded.
Today, June 3, the Teddy Bear run will take place starting at Extra Foods at 10:30 a.m.
