Authorities are looking for the public's help in solving a suspicious hay bale fire in Kneehill County.
On Thursday, November 2 Beiseker RCMP, along with Carbon, Linden and Acme Fire Departments, responded to a large hay bale fire north of Swalwell, near the intersection of Range Road 243 and Township Road 304.
Several hundred round bales were destroyed or damaged.
Once the flames were put out, an investigation was conducted and the fire was determined to be suspicious in nature.
Beiseker RCMP are requesting information from whomever was in the area last Thursday afternoon between 3:00 and 4:30 p.m. and noticed any suspicious vehicles or persons.
The farmer described a man wearing a cowboy hat in a white pickup truck who left his land just before he saw the flames.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Beiseker detachment at (403) 947-3420. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
