The residents of Sunshine Lodge gathered on Friday to remember those who fought for our freedom.

There were over 50 residents that joined the Royal Canadian Leigon for Remembrance Day ceremonies at the Lodge

Two of the residents that reside at the lodge were veterans of the military, Geraldine Rowbottom and Gerry Moore.

Deb Bolduc of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #22 emceed the proceedings.

Shauna Brown of the Sunshine Lodge organized the event.

"Being on a Saturday, we figured the facility (BCF) was going to be very full and with the walkers, it was really hard to get around so we thought this would be a nice gesture for the residence," she told 99.5 Drum FM.

It was a short but meaningful ceremony.
