That's all she wrote for the first, Summer Downtown Plaza.

The events and activities of the downtown plaza wrapped up on Saturday, September 1 with what seemed like the summer's record number of people in attendance at roughly 350 people.

This from Summer Events Coordinator, Grant Daly.

"It's pretty cool the local musicians could come out and do that for the crowd like they did," comments Daly as he speaks of The Suit Jacket Society playing Beatles hits atop the roof of the Emporium. "Everything was amazing. Everything sounded good and it went pretty late but everybody seemed like they had a good time."

Other musical acts, to name a few, at this Summer's Downtown Plaza included Litto Castillo, Abby Fooks, the the Wayfaring Fiddlers and Jaydee Bixby.

"The thing that I liked best about it was just seeing everybody from the community kinda come out and get out of the house and hang out together again," Daly added. "I noticed a lot of people down at the legion enjoying that place, people eating ice cream and walking around and just having a good time again so, it was neat to see."

Town Council will be opening chamber doors to business owners and individuals a like in mid-September to discuss more on what worked and what didn't in the first time downtown plaza so preparations can begin being made for next year.

"I appreciate everybody for coming out and helping make it work. That was the biggest thing," he concludes. "It wouldn't have worked if everybody didn't pitch in like they did so that was neat."
