Fall means back to school. It also means storytime is back at the Drumheller Public Library.
Lachie McFadden runs storytime at the library.
"I have been missing the kids a lot. I see lots of kids come to the library, but my regular program starts this Friday, for children three to five," said McFadden.
Storytime is a long-running program at the library, and McFadden said he's watched the kids grow up.
"I've been doing this for about 12 years at the library, it's my regular Friday program. What's kind of funny now is I'm coaching some of them at football that used to come to my storytime."
"It's more of an introduction to being able to sit down and getting them ready for kindergarten, getting them ready for school, as well. So we do stories, songs, finger plays. I [also] do a game, I do a craft," said McFadden.
The free program starts at 10:00 a.m., every Friday. McFadden asks that children be present and seated when storytime begins. This week's book is Smelly Socks by Robert Munsch.
