Yesterday, June 7, at around noon the RCMP, EMS and the Hanna Fire Department were called to a single mortorcycle collision.

The collison happened on Highway 36 at Township Road 33-0. The motorcycle involved in the accident was stolen and when emergency crews showed up, the rider of the motorcycle had fled the scene.

An investigation revealed that the motorcycle was stolen out of Red Deer and that a passing by motorist took the rider to Hanna and dropped him off at what he believed was the riders residence.
The suspect is described as being 6' tall, thin build, short brown hair, scruffy beard with a patch of hair under his lower lip, wearing jeans and a jacket.  The suspect was also reported to be bleeding from one of his legs in the shin area.
The suspect took a helmet from the scene without a face shield, which was found at the scene and is believed to have come from the suspect's helmet.
Also found at the scene was a multi-coloured beaded key ring and grey "Syncrude" ball hat.  If anyone can identify these items please contact the Hanna Detachment.
If anyone sees the suspect do not approach or pursue.  Contact the RCMP immediately and provide the location and description of any vehicle he may be operating.
