The Annual Battle of the Sexes is underway.

"At the pool you need to swim a minimum of 2 lengths and you can swim up to maximum of 700 lengths," explained Andrea Leavitt with the Drumheller Aquaplex. "At the BCF you can either go around the track or you can go on the machines."
"The minimum to start tracking over there (BCF) is one kilometre and then the maximum you can do is 50 kilometres," said Leavitt.
Battle of the Sexes has started at the Aquaplex and will extend until February 14, while the BCF portion will go from February 15 to 28.
"You can come in anytime within the 14 days at either facility," added Leavitt. "You just come in walk, run or swim the minimum distance and then there is a tracking sheet at the front desk of whichever facility it happens to be running at. You write down your name, your member ID number or your phone number, and what your distance was."
Leavitt mentioned that the women have won the past two years while the men won in 2014.
The winners will receive a multi-facility membership for three months and the losing team will receive the same privilege for one month.
