"At 5pm, the Town of Drumheller declared a state of local emergency for the Community of Wayne and a proportion of Highway 10x. This is due to high water levels on the Rosebud River. Further information will be forthcoming."

Richard Kolner of Carillion has also confirmed that they will be closing Highway 10x.

"We're going to close Highway 10x, due to flooding,  at 8 o'clock. The RCMP are going to close it. All the way from bridge number 2 to Township Road 2-80." said Kolner.

The RCMP and Carillion are setting up barricades in the area.


At 5:00 PM on April 23rd, the Town of Drumheller declared a state of local emergency for the community of Wayne and a portion of Hwy 10X due to high water levels on the Rosebud River.
