The 24 hour Jam for STARS is being deemed a success.
The fundraising event for the life saving organization was held last Saturday at the Old Grouch Restaurant in North Drumheller.
"We took in about $8,400," said organizer and restaurant owner Fran Nargang. "We had a little bit less than last year but it was still pretty good."
The event featured live music, a silent auction and a dunk tank. The Town of Drumheller also contributed $5,000 to STARS, bringing the weekend total up over $13,000.
"I appreciate everyone coming out and supporting it, so it went quite well," Nargang said.
She says planning for next year's event will begin after they rest up from this year's jam.
