The hills off of Elgin Hill Road are, temporarily, home to some folk around the area.

The Drumheller RCMP were tipped off that it looked like some people were using town property as a place to live.

This fact was confirmed by Drumheller RCMP Constable, Rachael Pergunas.

"These investigations take a while and we are always willing to look at tips from the public anyway," she commented.

"It's definitely people that police are aware of," the constable continued. "Bylaw is also aware of them and I believe they have been spoken to."

Pergunas stated that the RCMP do have matters of different natures and investigations to carry out so working closely with Bylaw is the logical next step to ensure these people are safely removed from the area.

"Police and Bylaw are looking into the issues being reported on," said Constable Pergunas.

It is unsure as to why these people have chosen to live there.
