East Coulee's annual festival has been in the works for months now, but they're still in need of a few people to help out.

"We're really getting down to the final planning stages (and) we have all the bands lined up, but now is the time that we're looking to the community for volunteers to help put this on," stated Springfest organizer, Barb Steeves.

Steeves mentioned that they're in need of around 50 volunteers for multiple different areas for the two day event.

"We need people to sell tickets at the door, put the wrist bands on, we need people to sell bar tickets, people to serve, we need people to take the money, people to serve food and people for security."

Volunteers receive a meal ticket along with free admission to the two day event.

So, if someone is interested in volunteering where do they sign up?

"They can sign up by replying on the volunteer request on the East Coulee Springfest Facebook page or the best way is to go to the web page, ecsmuseum.ca, and fill out a volunteer application," Steeves outlined.

"We'd love to have them done at least a week in advance so we can go ahead a few days before to say 'hey, don't forget you have this shift' and have an email contact to them."
