The 2017 Drumheller Chamber of Commerce Spring Expo is in the history books, but it won't be forgotten for a while.
"We had about 1,400 people come through this year, which is our best year yet," reported Marley Henneigh, Chamber Services Coordinator. "Saturday certainly had some busy times: I know after 5:00 (p.m.) it was fairly quiet, but between about 11:00 and 2:30 or 3:00 it was pretty packed in there."
The annual celebration of all that is spring was held in the old Liquidation World store at the Greentree Mall and featured close to 60 vendor booths ranging from hot tubs to candy.
"The booth set-up company does a great job and I think the entertainment stage this year added a lot to it as well," noted Henneigh.
"I haven't gone through all the survey results yet, but a lot of vendors came up and asked 'when can I book for next year?' so that's always great to hear," added Henneigh. "Lots of people from the community came up and told us they really enjoyed it as well."
They haven't begun planning for the 2018 Spring Expo as of yet, but Henneigh notes there is a committee that looks after that and says they're always looking for new members. Contact her at the Chamber, 403-823-8100.
