Drumheller's Rotary Spray Park was closed last week for a needed upgrade.
The spray park in front of the Aquaplex was closed June 12 and 13 in order to do a resurfacing.
"Sealing the floor and making sure we applied the non-slip surface to the ground," explained Armia Mikhaiel, Director of Infrastructure Services for the Town of Drumheller.
Mikhaiel also noted that the safety and well being of those who use the spray park was a number one concern for the Town of Drumheller.
"We had to have it down for a day and then a second day to give time to the material to cure," he said. "This was a sealant and non-slip surface."
The spray park has been open since June 14, fully cured and ready to go.
"So far it's good. If there is any extra grit, it will be washed away," concluded Mikhaiel. "It will be much better than how it was."
