It shouldn't come as any surprize, with the latest turn in the weather, that the fire hazard in East Central Alberta is not what it used to be.

The Special Areas Board has lifted its long standing fire advisory for Special Areasa 2,3 and 4 effective immediately.

Campfires and incinerator fires are now permitted, along with charcoal barbeques. Controlled burn notifications are still required for any other type
of burning.

Kneehill County still has a fire advisory in place: campfires are allowed, however extreme caution is advised.
