Drumheller residents slurped and slopped down a full bowl of spaghetti on Thursday, June 14 at Boston Pizza, but it was for a good cause.
The 13th annual spaghetti eating contest was held and raised $2,035.00 for the Breakfast Clubs of Drumheller.
Greentree and St. Anthony's schools will be splitting the funds down the middle.
The funds also surpassed last year's total of $1,480.
The highest amount of money raised by the spaghetti slurpers was Melanie Mazereeuw with $509.
Contestants were split into different categories of kids, teens, women, and men.
Kim Polzin won the kids category, Rayanne Tietge dominated in the teen competition, while Melanie Mazereeuw and Austin Kennedy were the female and male champions.
