Nature, at it's most horrific, is devestatingly powerful and unforgiving in extreme situations. Luckily, in Linden, nature didn't get the chance to unleash its full force.

On March 20, staff of Walbern Agri-Systems arrived for work to see that the roof in the middle section of their 54 year old building had collapsed.roofcollapseRoof Collapse at Walbern Agri-Systems.

"We've got an office up-front, and then a middle warehouse and a back warehouse. It was our middle warehouse," explained owner Merv Rieger. "(The collapse) was just from the snow-load, I think. The engineers are looking at it to determine what really happened but, I think that's what it was."

"We're very lucky. Our steel racks held it, so it never came down all the way," Rieger noted. "That's a huge blessing."

Insurance adjusters and structural engineers have been going over the building to determine if it can be saved.

"I don't know if they'll be able to fix it. They're determining that now. If not, that's fine too," Rieger conclued. "Nobody got hurt, so far we're lucky enough that our inventory is even okay. We're pretty lucky as it turns out."
