Tuesday's blood donor clinic in Drumheller didn't go off too well, but nobody in the valley is to blame.
"We were delayed by over two hours," reported Shaun Richer, the Regional Manager for Canadian Blood Services in Red Deer. "That impacts, for us, the collections that we were able to take."
While he didn't have the actual number of units collected, Richer admitted it was quite a bit below what they had been expecting before they were delayed.
"We just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank-you for the donors' understanding and support because there was a bit of a delay with getting everything set up ," he told Drum FM.
The next Canadian Blood Services blood donor clinic for Drumheller is October 30 at the Badlands Community Facility.
