A sold out night for the REEL Alternatives' showing of 'She Has A Name'.
"I'm so thankful to the REEL Alternative out of the library and Dean Kohut, who is the co-executive producer, for getting us in here. We sold out tonight (January 30) and we hope that there will be so much demand we will come back for another showing," stated Lance Kadatz, Executive Producer of She Has A Name.
The films lead actor, Giovanni Mocibob, previously studied his craft in Rosebud.
"There's a contingent here to see him and his work. He's the main star in the film and he does a phenomenal job, he just leaves it all out there," expressed Kadatz.
The very first premiere was on December 2, 2016 in Red Deer, where they had four screenings.
"London, England, Belfast and Capetown were the worldwide premieres. It had two showings in London, England, which also included some of the royal family," noted Kadatz.
She Has A Name shines a light on the awareness of human trafficking.
"At the same time is shows you hope and it shows you despair, but it makes you want to make a difference in fighting that," expressed Kadatz.
"I love the project and I love the fact that we could do something about human trafficking. A portion of the proceeds that we make on the film, DVD's and soundtrack goes to the agencies around the world that are pulling the girls off the street. We're hoping that the film will be more like a movement than a film."
