RCMP in Hanna are investigating a collision east of Hanna that sent one boy to a Calgary hospital.

Mounties responded to the accident around 9:35 Sunday morning on Highway 9 east of Hanna. A westbound SUV collided with a snowplow, also heading west. It's believed the vehicle rear-ended the plow.

The 38 year old female driver of the SUV and her 12 year old son were not injured in the collision, however her 15 year old son was airlifted by STARS to a Calgary hospital in serious condition.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
