The countdown for Christmas Day is nearly over and Santa Claus has been busy running some last minute errands.

Santa ASanta with a friend.

"Well Drumheller is one of my stops on the route, but obviously I stop by to pick up a little coal," explained Santa Claus.

Santa will be making an appearance at the Drumheller Memorial Arena on Christmas Eve for the Skate with Santa party around 1:00p.m.

"I'm very partial to shortbread cookies but just about any cookie is good. There are no bad cookies that I've had," he reported.

Santa added that he enjoys sharing treats with his reindeer and is always delighted to find carrots left out for them.

Shortly before Santa left to collect some coal, 99.5 Drum FM asked him what Drumheller residents can do to stay on his nice list.

"If you can think of somebody less fortunate than yourself, it's a good time of year to think of them and it's also a good time that you can help out in some way whether that is big or small," explained Santa. "It may just be helping someone shovel their sidewalk or putting up some decorations."
