Yo-yos and pogo sticks are toys of the past. This year, Fingerlings, Hatchimals and slime topped the must-have list for Drumheller kids.
99.5 Drum FM spoke with area children and asked them how their Christmas went.
Serenity was quick to call out her top gift this Christmas -- Santa brought her a new pair of headphones in her favourite colour, blue. She'll put the headphones to good use too this holiday season as she plays with her new set of Lego blocks.
Another young person gushed to 99.5 Drum FM about her own gifts from Santa.
"He brought me a 'So Truly Real Doll' and he brought me some bath bombs and he brought me a fidget cube," said Eve.
So what did the girls give Santa in return?
Eve says that she put out gingerbread cookies for Santa because they're his favourite. Over at Serenity's house, she laid out a plate of cookies and some milk but woke up to discover that Santa had taken everything, including the plate!
Even at such early ages though, both girls pointed out that Christmas is about more than just the presents from Santa. The holiday is also a time to come together as a family and enjoy a big meal.
"We had ham and turkey, carrots. I think... yeah, we had mashed potatoes and gravy," said Eve.
"[We had] a big lunch, but not dinner," explained Serenity. "At lunch, we had potatoes with gravy, peas. We had carrots and a whole bunch of other things."
