Rmsey's toddlers and little ones are full of Christmas joy after the Rumsey Community Kids Christmas Party.
"We had about 18 kids come and we has 'Pin the Tail on the Reindeer,' 'Build a Snowman out of Play Dough,' Bingo, 'Candy Cane Fishing', and the we had snacks set out, and then Santa came, and each of the kids got a gift," explained Monica Nelner, who helped organize the event.
The Rumsey community has been putting on Christmas celebrations for over 20 years, recently changing it from a Christmas Concert to a Christmas Party.
"It has happened for several years, it has been going for quite a while. They do something different every year. Last year they did Gingerbread House making. This year we had a lot of younger kids, so we thought that it would be better to do it during the Christmas Market they do every year where they have vendors set up. So the kids were at the back of the hall at the end of the market and it went really, really well," continued Nelner.
She goes on to say that this was the first year she participated in organizing the event after her own child was born last year.
"Rumsey is such a tight knit community that they have always done stuff kind of like this," she praised.
She would like to thank Lee Kiemele, Nadine Sengaus, Claire Krywcun, Sandy Mcnaughton, Trina Macfarlane, Patty Steen, the Rumsey Library and the Rumsey Ag Society for making this event come to life.
