Each spring, people clean out their basements, attics and garages to get ready for another year.

However, one person's junk is another's treasure and that's where the Drumheller Rotary Club's White Elephant Sale comes in.

This year's is scheduled for Saturday, May 6 in the old Liquidation World space at the Greentree Mall.

"Last year, we had the Co-op Mall completely full of people," recalled event organizer Graham Giffin. "We're very excited and hoping everybody will come out: 9:00 in the morning we're going to open the doors up and move all the stuff until 3:00 in the afternoon."

"We've got dropoffs all during the week (4:00-8:00 p.m.) and we can also pick it up from you," he added. "Call Bob at 403-823-4407 or myself at 823-2856."

This is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the Drumheller Rotary Club and Giffin says they can use all the help they can get, with a few exceptions.

"We can't take any mattresses, hide-a-beds, cribs, car seats or older TV's," he told 99.5 Drum FM. Old computers and electric organs are also a no-no as there isn't enough of a market for them.
