Drumheller RCMP hope a tip or two from the public will be enough to nab them a would-be thief.
"We are investigating a break and enter at O'Shea's Restaurant that happened late last week," confirmed Corporal Steven Lloyd. "It is still under investigation so there's not a whole lot I can really divulge yet."
Restaurant management published a video capture from a surveillance camera in the restaurant's back end showing a man in a dark hoodie. The accompanying caption says the culprit smashed the front door, then went straight to the safe, but could not open it.
"There's information that I wouldn't be able to divulge to the public regarding that," said Corporal Lloyd. "If anybody sees it and they have any questions (they should) forward them on to us."
"It's an ongoing investigation; if anybody has anything that's what Crimestoppers is for if they don't want to reveal themselves to us."
The number for Crimestoppers is 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). The number for the Drumheller RCMP Detachment is 403-823-7590.
