RBC held their annual 'pulled pork on a bun' fundraiser this past Friday, with all proceeds from the event donated to the Alberta Children's Hospital.
"The reason we picked the Children's Hospital is because every year RBC does the Race for Kids," said Jennifer Dickson with RBC. "It's held at Heritage Park, it's a big race and there are a couple of us that will be attending it. They usually have about 29,000 RBC employees that turn out for this event."
Run for the Kids takes place on September 24.
"We actually have quite a few fundraisers, we've made our pulled pork an annual fundraiser," explained Dickson. "Every year we're picking a different organization to donate the money to."
Dickson added that they do not have the exact amount raised, but are hoping for numbers in the $500 to $600 range.
"We had a great turnout, we're really pleased with what we've accomplished here," noted Dickson. "We just would like to thank everybody that came out and supported us."
