Things are back to normal again at the Drumheller Institution.
The Medium Security Unit had been in lockdown since February 19 after two inmates died of drug overdoses in three days.
Correctional Service of Canada isn't providing details, but said the lockdown was imposed so that staff could conduct an exceptional search of the facility.
It also says efforts continue to strengthen measures to prevent the entry of contraband into prisons.
With the lockdown lifted, inmate visits to the Drumheller Institution have resumed.
