The Canadian Badlands Passion Play continues to put Drumheller on the map.
The annual production that fills the Passion Play Amphitheatre beside the Drumheller Ski Hill for three weekends in July has won another Alberta tourism award.
The Passion Play picked up the Service Excellence Award at the Alto's Monday night in Banff.
"That's not for me, that's for Drumheller," stated Vance Neudorf, the Executive Director for the Passion Play. "That's for an amazing group of volunteers because we co-ordinate them and get them in their place, but they do the work."
Neudorf told 99.5 Drum FM playgoers have always raved about the way they are treated here.
"People say on their surveys: I didn't think this level of service was even alive anymore in the world and you guys showed me that it's still possible," he recalled. "We get all these comments, 'I met so and so and this person was so great', so it's fantastic."

"We're also, I think, going to dedicate this win to Chris McLellan," added Neudorf. "He was our first volunteer co-ordinator that handled that whole thing altogether and yeah, we're really missing him."
McLellan passed away earlier this fall after 14 years with the Passion Play.
The organization was also up for Tourism Event or Festival of the Year, but lost to Jasper's Dark Sky Festival.
