The Drumheller Aquaplex is giving locals the chance to cross off a ParticipACTION Canada 150 item.
"We're going to be doing a free Aqua Zumba class. It will be happening Thursday (March 30) from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m.," stated organizer Andrea Leavitt.
"It's a really fun class. A lot of people worry about choreography, but you don't need to worry about that. As long as you're moving, the instructor doesn't even worry if you're following the choreography," she added.
So, what is Aqua Zumba?
"Aqua Zumba is the water version of the land Zumba program. Zumba is based on Latin style dancing with a lot of Latin music, but we also have a lot of popular music mixed in there too," Leavitt explained.
"Generally it's an easy choreography that you will follow and it repeats throughout the song. The great thing about it being in water is it's a lower impact, it works your muscles, works your core (and) it just works everything because the water just gives you that extra resistance from every direction."
