RCMP in Oyen could use some help catching the crooks who broke into a rural home in the Youngstown area earlier this month.

On the afternoon of Thursday, January 19, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. someone entered the home and made off with the following items:

- A Cooey .410 gauge shotgun
- A .270 caliber Winchester rifle with scope
- A 12 GA Remington Wingmaster Shotgun
- A .38 caliber Smith &Wesson Revolver
- A small suitcase containing handmade Damascus knives. Some of the knives have “WLP” markings on them
- A small case containing handmade pens
- Various bullets, primers and powder for reloading
- A Handmade carving set
- A Handmade leather case with a dog and a bronco etched into the leather

A vehicle that may have been involved in the crime was seen leaving the area. It's described as a newer model black Dodge Ram crew cab with a slip tank in the back.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Oyen RCMP detachment at 403-664-3883 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
