We are now 10 days into 2019 and businesses are reviewing how their 2018 went. 

For the Badlands Community Faculty, numbers were up all around the board, which means that more people in Drumheller are exercising.

"Usage over 2017 to 2018 overall at the BCF increased by 24.3 per cent, which is huge. That is 11,000 more scan ins," explained Marketing and Sales Officer at the BCF, Erica Crocker.

More scan ins at the front desk means more people taking care of their health. Physical health has been a topic of discussion for many years now, and the numbers go to show that many are taking that seriously.

"It is a colder season of course, and people are looking for that accountability and that support system. People may be looking to take their health and wellness into consideration and we are here to help with that," continued Crocker.

As for 2019, numbers have already shown that Drumheller residents are off to the races for physical health.

"In the comparison from January 1 to January 10 from 2018 to 2019, we are up about 10 per cent in terms of usage," concluded Crocker.
