If you have been watching Social Media lately, you will know that there are new gun laws being proposed.

"(Prime Minister Justin Trudeau) is missing the mark; he is not going after those who illegally use firearms, he's not going after gangs, he's not fighting crime, he's not going after gang violence; there is nothing that he brings forward that is going to address any of these very real issues," argued Battle River-Crowfoot MP Kevin Sorensen.Kevin Sorensen22Kevin Sorensen, MP for Battle River-Crowfoot. Under the laws that are being proposed, vendors will have to either use the registration portal being set up online by the government or call the director of the registrar. It could make buying a firearm at a gun show more difficult to do.

"He is trying to make people believe that 'we are looking after you, we are fighting crime' and this measure simply puts a greater burden on law abiding farmers and duck hunters, competition shooters and those who enjoy going out and using their firearms to kill gophers and whatever else they may be after," accused Sorensen.

Fortunately, for anyone who already owns a firearm, the new law will not have much effect, unless you decide to purchase a new firearm.

"It is not going to solve a crime issue, it is only going to burden and add red tape to an already difficult to go through measure to be able to buy a firearm," charged Sorensen.

He also said that he is looking forward to showing the prime ministe just how unreasonable this legislation is.
