The Badlands Community Facility will be overflowing with animal lovers this Wednesday as the Drumheller and District Humane Society holds their Annual General Meeting.
"I hope we have a good turnout again this year because last year was really good. We need some new board members, we need a couple new directors and few other positions filled," stated President of the Drumheller and District Humane Society, Kelcy Travis.
Travis added that so far this year, things have been running very well.
"We've had a whole bunch of changes; the looks of the centre has changed, we have our new website up and running, the newsletter is running and things are just going well," Travis expressed.
This upcoming AGM is to fill many board spots such a directors, president and more.
"We're also looking for a volunteer coordinator and an events coordinator, so we have a lot of spots to fill and we want to have a strong board. We're hoping to get some new faces and some old faces, like minded people who are passionate about animals and this community," Travis outlined.
"You don't have to devote a bunch of time to the board, it's more however much you can contribute. We have monthly board meetings, but we want a board that is willing to work and to help and make the centre run properly."
The Humane Society's AGM is Wednesday, March 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the BCF. For more information on the upcoming AGM, call 403-823-8999.
