The students, parents and teachers in Morrin are preparing for a Alberta Education Accountability Pillar survey within the next few weeks.
"They send out the survey and then they correlate all the information that they get back. They then send it to the school division and we take that information to help us with programs or to see areas where the students and staff feel are lacking in the different schools in Alberta," explained Don Yavis, Principal of the Morrin school.
"They send us a log in and each kid gets their own, it's called a random access code. We get the kids to the website, they put in their random access code and then just answer the questions," Yavis added.
This survey provides information to each schools to measure their success and progress within the students.
"There's questions about programming, questions about safety and caring such as do your teachers care about you, do you feel safe on your way to school and home, do you feel safe at school or do the students treat you well," outlined Yavis.
"With the older kids and parents surveys, it will ask if the kids had a physical education program or access to music and the arts."
