A power outage yesterday in Morrin and Michichi was due to a broken power line.
The outage lasted for roughly five hours for some residents within the two communities.
"We had a broken wire for one of the main feeders that feeds the customers in that area," explained Area Supervisor for the Drumheller area for ATCO Electric, Nick Peelar.
According to Peelar, there was no human interference in the line being broken and the ATCO team worked as quickly as they could to get things back and running.
"We received the call around 7:30 in the morning," said Peelar. "The guys found the trouble and were able to isolate the portion of line with the broken wire."
"(We got) some of the customers back on, including Morrin, around 9 (am)," concluded Peeler. "And then had the remaining customers back on around noon."
