People affected by a planned shift away from coal fired power generation in the Hanna area could learn a little more about the government's plans today.
Minister of economic development and trade, Deron Bilous is scheduled to sit down with employees of the Sheerness Coal Mine and power generating station to listen to their concerns and tell them more about plans to move away from coal as a power source.
Tonight's meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Hanna Community Centre.
While the public can attend, only questions from the plant and coal mine workers will be addressed, as these meetings are specifically for the workers.
A second meeting with the minister will be held on Monday, also at the Hanna Community Centre, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
