The Greentree Breakfast program welcomes another appreciated donation.

This past Sunday, October 29, Riverside Medical's Dr. Rithesh Ram and his family held a fundraiser at the Badlands Community Facility that raised cash or cheque donations for Greentree Elementary's Breakfast Program.

"We helped run it but really, it was our two daughters who decided they wanted to do a fundraiser for the Greentree Breakfast Program," said Dr. Ram.

The Ram family brought in an illusionist that saw roughly 130-150 people in attendance for the fundraiser.

"I was told at last count that we raised just over $1,000 for the breakfast program," he explained.

This is the second time that the Rams have held a fundraiser, which was also one of the Ram daughters' idea. The first fundraiser was a few years ago, where the family fundraiser for the Christmas Shoe box.

"We are very honoured. It goes a long way here," hummed Principal of Greentree, Erin Campbell-Bentley. "We feed on average 100 kids every day. When that opportunity comes, we're very appreciative and we are very honoured that they would choose to donate."
