A local woman convicted of 16 counts of fraud and 13 counts of drawing documents without authority will be sentenced on July 6 in Drumheller.

Rebecca Tucker was present in court Friday as The Crown and the defense presented their cases to the judge.

Tucker, a former employee of the Drumheller ATB Financial, was accused of withdrawing just under $50,000 from 16 different accounts from November 2015 to November 2016.

All of the victims were seniors.

The Crown is pushing for jail time for Tucker, while the Defense is suggesting community service and restitution of the funds stolen.

The Defense says that Tucker has suffered through public humiliation, loss of her home and her job. She is also the primary caregiver to six children and the defense argued they, too, have suffered enough.
